June 6, 2025We are proud to announce that ECOBALLIFE was recently featured at two major international events in May 2025. Each event provided an excellent opportunity to promote our mission and connect with global leaders in textile innovation.
Our partner, CITEVE, represented ECOBALLIFE at both the European Conference on Protective Clothing (ECPC 2025) in Kuşadası, Turkey, and the iTechStyle Summit 2025 in Porto, Portugal.
Highlighting ECOBALLIFE at the ECPC 2025 event in Kuşadası, Turkey
Held from May 20 to 23, ECPC 2025 focused on the theme “Protection, Intelligence, Sustainability.” This renowned conference brought together experts in protective clothing and sustainable innovation.
CITEVE actively participated in Session 7, which addressed sustainability in protective clothing and equipment. During this session, they presented ECOBALLIFE’s research titled: Para-Aramid Mechanical Recycling and Valorisation Opportunities, by Gilda Santos and Liudmila Basílio.
This presentation emphasized the importance of recycling high-performance materials and highlighted ECOBALLIFE’s commitment to circular economy principles.
Moreover, the event fostered collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers, manufacturers, and sustainability advocates.

Insights from iTechStyle Summit 2025 in Porto, Portugal
From May 26 to 28, CITEVE also participated in the iTechStyle Summit 2025. This summit gathered stakeholders from defence, automotive, healthcare, and textile sectors.
Throughout the three-day event, CITEVE hosted a digital poster titled Threads of Innovation: Shaping a Smarter, Sustainable, and Transparent Textile Industry.
The poster showcased ECOBALLIFE’s contributions to sustainable textile innovation and advanced materials for ballistic protection.
In addition, the summit featured discussions on AI, bio-based textiles, digitalization, recycling, and eco-design.
CITEVE’s presence helped spark meaningful conversations about the future of sustainable textiles and protective systems.
