Future Forces Forum 2026: Exploring the Future of Sustainable Protection Systems

On 21 October 2026, the ECOBALLIFE project will host the workshop Future Sustainable Protection Systems at Future Forces Forum 2026 in Prague. Protection systems are expected to deliver high performance, reliability and safety. However, sustainability is becoming an equally important priority. Therefore, industry and research communities must explore new approaches that address both requirements. The workshop will highlight how circular economy principles can be integrated across the lifecycle of personal and platform protection systems. Participants will gain insights into the latest ECOBALLIFE developments and emerging trends shaping the sector.

Sustainable Innovation at Future Forces Forum

The programme will present advances in eco-design, lightweight protection solutions, sustainable manufacturing and resource-efficient materials. In addition, speakers will discuss strategies for recycling and material recovery, helping to reduce environmental impacts while maintaining operational performance. Life Cycle Assessment will also be a key topic. Consequently, participants will learn how environmental performance can be evaluated and improved throughout the entire product lifecycle.
